From mailbox to mystery

Red background

Story & Seal combines physical chapters, hands-on puzzles, and short interactive story moments into one connected adventure.

1

A NEW CHAPTER ARRIVES

A Story & Seal dispatch brings the next piece of the adventure to your home. Each chapter includes story correspondence and the clues, evidence, or puzzle materials needed to continue the case.

‍What your child does: Opens, reads, examines.

Dark blue envelope sealed with a red wax stamp featuring a key symbol and the letters 'S' on either side.
A weathered, aged paper with the heading "TOP SECRET" stamped in red at the top right, containing a handwritten letter requesting someone to investigate a photograph found in the Bellweather archive. The letter describes the photograph as taken in a museum's east gallery in the 1950s, showing a guard beside a staircase and clock with a shadow inconsistent with the time marked. It urges the reader to find a marked location in the room based on sunlight shadows and to consider a message printed near that position, linking a red thread around a box to a strand found under an archive door yesterday.
2

THEY FOLLOW THE STORY

Your child reads as part of the case—not simply as an observer.

Characters may ask for help, provide evidence, share suspicions, or point toward something that needs to be investigated.

3

THEY SOLVE THE CLUE

Every chapter contains a challenge connected to the story.

Depending on the case, that might mean decoding a message, examining an image, finding a pattern, plotting a route, comparing evidence, or using logic to eliminate possibilities.

‍It should feel like solving the case—not completing a worksheet.

Round maroon token with double yellow border featuring a gold old-fashioned key symbol in the center and white text around it that reads 'STORY & SEAL' above and 'ACCESS TOKEN' below.
4

TAP THE ACCESS TOKEN

The NFC access token connects the reader to their private Case Portal. No searching for URLs. No typing long codes. Just tap your phone to the token or scan the QR code on the bottom of each dispatch.

You can also access their portal from your account dashboard.

5

UNLOCK THE NEXT STEP IN THE PORTAL

The case portal is the final step of each dispatch. They will enter the answer to the dispatch puzzle and gain rewards, case information and more.

They also have the opportunity to choose where the story goes next, by choosing what the writer of the letter should do next. They become an active part of the mystery, not just a bystander.

The screen shows a coordinate plotting activity with a grid map including mountains, trees, a lighthouse, and a cabin. Instructions read: Solve the coordinate sums, plot the points in numerical order, and enter the direction formed by the arrow. There is a text box to type the answer and a 'Check My Answer' button below.

THE MYSTERY CONTINUES

Once that chapter is complete, your child has another piece of the case.

Then begins the anticipation for the next part of the adventure to unfold. With dispatches being sent every other week, they won't have to wait long to solve the mystery.

THE PHONE SUPPORTS THE STORY.
IT DOESN'T BECOME THE STORY.

Smartphone screen showing a Story & Seal app interface welcoming user Jamie back to an active case called The Thirteenth Key with a magnifying glass, fingerprint, and padlock icons above, and a red circular Story & Seal access token with a key symbol beside it.

Story & Seal uses digital moments only when the case calls for them—checking an answer, uncovering evidence, hearing a recording, or making a decision. Then the device goes away and the physical mystery takes over again.

The goal isn’t to compete with technology. It’s to make the letter, the clue, and the next discovery compelling enough to hold their attention on their own.
